King Henry VIII invites all fencers to compete in the 8th Annual Fencing Championships! All are encouraged to prove to the Holy Roman Emperor, Charles V, that the people of this Kingdom are equal in skill and nobility to all those worthy fencers in the realm!
Matthew A. Richardson has been slinging steel for longer than he cares to think about. Initially attracted to swordplay through the movies, he joined the West Shore Fencers in Camp Hill, Pennsylvania at the age of 14. He fenced throughout high school and sporadically in college, after which he drifted off into the realms of stage combat for a decade, performing as an actor-combatant and serving as a fight choreographer at various Renaissance festivals throughout the country. In 2003, he returned to fencing, joining the Tampa Bay Fencers, a unique club that embraces both sport and classical fencing. Mr. Richardson is currently an assistant coach at TBF, and is a member of both the United States Fencing Association and the Association for Historical Fencing.
